The Wall is a building type in Pharaoh.
Background[]
Walls are erected to protect the city. Thin walls are quickly destroyed by invading armies, but thicker walls can withstand much more damage. Walls at least two tiles thick may support Towers, which, when properly manned, house javelin-throwers and sentries to aid in the defense of the city. Walls are impassable by all walkers, but building Gatehouses in walls allow destination walkers to pass through them.
Walls have no effect on desirability. They are impervious to collapse and fire. Unlike most buildings, they do not need road access or workers. However, towers (which must be built on walls) require both.
Walls first appear during Serabit Khadim as already placed defences, but can only be built starting from North Dahshur.
Trivia[]
- If the player selects Buhen instead of South Dahshur, they will be able to build walls one mission earlier.
