Tax Office is a building found in Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom.
Background[]
The Tax Office, as its name suggests, is used for collecting taxes in a city. Most cities will invariably require taxation in order to remain in profit. The tax collector requires either Wood or Paper to operate, depending on the era.
If the Tax Office is provided with Paper, it sends out two collectors, rather than one, making it more profitable overall.
