Salt Mine is a building found in Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom.
Background[]
The Salt Mine is one of the unique buildings in Emperor, in that the building must be placed over the top of a Salt Marsh with the right amount of space. These buildings require 19 workers and produce Salt, a type of food that is an additive which improves the quality of food present in a mill.
Missions with salt provided are usually very useful early on, as Salt combined with Game Meat allows for a player to get Plain Food very easily. Salt Mines are prone to collapse and should be serviced by an Inspector's Tower regularly.
