Gold Mine is a building type in Pharaoh.
General Information[]
As their name suggests, a Gold Mine produces gold: this is taken directly to a Palace, where it is converted into 100Db of cash for the Treasury. A fully staffed gold mine produces 94.1% of 100 units per month, or 1129 units per year. This is increased to 133 units per month, or 1600 units per year with Ptah's Temple Complex and altar. production rates are effectively lowered if the cart pushers do not return to their mines before the next load is ready; this means that in order for a gold mine to operate at maximum efficiency, it must be within 28 tiles of a palace without the temple complex and altar, or 20 tiles with them.
