The Fishing Wharf is a building type in Pharaoh.

General InformationEdit

Fishing Wharves dispatch fishing boats to catch fish. After the return of a fishing trip, the food is then transferred to a granary or a storage yard to be bought by bazaars for distribution or for export. Each trip yields 100 fish.

Fishing wharves need boats provided by a staffed shipwright in order to function. Unlike warships and transports, fishing boats do not require wood to be made.

Fishing boats need a clear path from the shipwright to their wharf, or else they sink as soon as they're built. Fishing boats may be sunk by enemy warships, thus disrupting the city's food supply.

Like all other food types, food is very cheap to both import and export. It sells for 33 debens/100 units, which is the third highest behind meat and game meat, but it is much better used feeding the population. Fish is correspondingly one of the more expensive food types to import at 42 debens/100 units. Fish is the second-lowest priority for consumption, ahead of game meat. For more information see Food and Goods.

Fishing Wharves are undesirable to live close to.
