Nubt is a mission found in Pharaoh. It is the first mission of the Predynastic Period.

Briefing[]

Welcome to ancient Egypt, land of the Pharaohs! Here you'll participate in the history of one of the greatest civilizations the world has ever seen, in an epic story that spans more than fifteen centuries and two dozen generations. You must lead one family, generation by generation, through the dawn of civilization...to the establishment of a unique and powerful empire...and beyond. Our story begins more than five thousand years ago, along the banks of the Nile river, in an area known as Nubt. Here a small confederacy of clans struggles to eke out an existence in the harsh environment. With you at its head, your family leads this small settlement.

Goals[]

  • 6 Meager Shanties

Strategy[]

This is the first mission and introduces the very basic concepts of building a city. All you need to do is place some housing and watch the immigrants arrive to occupy the housing plots.

When there are 150 people in the housing, you'll be introduced to basic food procurement. Build two Hunting Lodges and a Granary: the lodges will send hunters to hunt prey (in this map, the prey is Ostriches) and will return with meat, which is then dropped into the Granary for distribution.

The only mission goal at this point is to distribute the food to your housing to reach the housing target. If you want to finish the mission quickly, simply place a Bazaar in your housing area and wait for six houses to evolve. You can, however, choose to wait and learn about additional structures.

Leaving the Granary to fill up with food will allow you to build a Water Supply, which provides cleaner drinking water than a Well. Plus, it is a requirement to evolve housing to cottage level, but this is not possible right now.

Placing a Bazaar for food distribution allows sturdy huts to upgrade to meager shanties. While they are all helpful or even necessary to evolve housing, hunting lodges, bazaars and granaries are all undesirable buildings. Low desirability prevents housing from upgrading to higher levels.

For these early missions, keep an eye on the banner at the top of the playing screen: they show the immediate goal. If you are stuck, look there for tips to progress the mission.
