The Hemp Farm is a farm building in Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom.
Purpose[]
Hemp Farms, as the name suggests, grows hemp. For most of the campaign, Hemp serves little purpose and is used only to evolve Housing above a Plain Cottage, as well as placing down elite houses. Two hemp farms will usually provide enough hemp to serve the entire city.
At the end of the Han Dynasty, hemp is used to create Paper, which replaces wood in several buildings such as the Tax Office.
